Open Axle back or Open Header?

I have a exhaust leak at the axle back and another on the back of the muffler. The track opens next week and i wont be able to get a new exhaust by then so I was thinking about removing the whole axle back. Will this affect my performance?, or will unpluging the header from the cat be better?

Taking off the "axel back" shouldn't hurt your performance. It' might not give any power gain, but it should not hurt. On the other hand, if your running a stock motor you will definatly lose power if you run open header.

running open header will gain you a slight amount of torque, but also a loss up top,... not much may i add but is also not a great thing to do, also a lot of tracks wont allow you to run open header depending on the event. It does sound pretty pissed though screaming vtec open header
