 To do a SOHC VTEC the right way in a 88-91 Civic. It's more headache than it's worth (wiring). Might be alittle better but i'd rather stick with the SI motor.

the single cam zc has higher compression and the cam has more lift and duration then the 1.5 vtec. but then again i have seen some badass 1.5 vtec motors
